We were driving up to Sharjah tonight to get my sisters fitted for their gowns for the debut on Saturday. Rachel, my younger sister started yapping about her plans for her 18th birthday, which is in 2 years. I already know theme, The Phantom of the Opera, since she was incredibly mesmerized by Christine Daae and the whole hoopla about Raoul. So here’s the plan:
Processional – Masquerade/Angel of Music – CD
Debutante’s Entrance – Think of Me – debutante
The Whole Walking to the Stage – All I Ask of You – Me and the Debutante
…and she went on and on and on and on and on until I took a nap. Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of my sister for having such fine taste in music and movies, but her 18th birthday’s not until two years.
Camille however dozed off the entire trip, not that Sharjah is SO far but the traffic makes it feel like a cross country death ride.
During dinner we had a discussion about Camille being dark when we were younger, and being round, yeah…round. She’s not now. Rachel however wasn’t round but she is dark. Camille on the contrary out grew her dark complexion overtime, but I doubt Rachel will. That’s why she’s been using the Papaya soap mercilessly the past months, much to my mom’s annoyance.
Cheers
